2007 recap

164 books v. 685 loads of laundry.

Sigh.

I just don't know about this being a grown-up stuff. Seems like there should be more time for fun!

(before you think I'm completely crazy, the addition of a new front-loading washer started the whole tally marks in the laundry room craze).

This is hilarious/interesting/disturbing...I've maintained that I surely do a load of laundry per day on average, but I've never actually kept count. 685 loads! Yikes!

I find myself coveting your front-loading washer. Also hilarious/interesting/disturbing.

Thanks for making me laugh out loud. I suppose I should tally the number of student essays commented on . . . that might make a comparable number for next year's "re-cap."

On the other hand, I guess I'm finally grown up because I'm envying your front load washer. :)

I don't know which I find more interesting . . . that fact that JNJ and I posted similar sentiments or that we posted them almost at the same time.

Good morning all!

This is so disturbing--it needs to be altered. Sure, being an adult is full of boring stuff, but what if we equate one load of laundry with 1 chapter? After all, a load only takes about 40 minutes to run, right? That's about a chapter in a short book.

But counting chapters? How badly does that suck? So instead, we will declare each book to be worth a minimum of--oh--32 chapters?

Chapters--5248, laundry--685.

Doesn't that look better!

Wow, DJ and I are still on the same wavelength after all these years!

Next up is a new stove--I'll let you know if we ever get one and perhaps keep track of cookies or something!
