Lucky
Well, a mere week or so after being made aware that there are giveaways at Goodreads, guess what...I won one! Thanks J and J, for telling me about this! Not only that, it was something that I had seen a while ago and had thought might be a good candidate for A's reading list as well as mine. Now it's out in paperback, and I'm getting a free copy! The Dragon's Eye is the first of the Erec Rex YA series.

Awesome! (can you tell I worked at Target today?)
And how fun it's something A. may like as well.
Congratulations!
And off a-entering I go...
OMG :)
It's going to be your turn next, I just know it...
That's so cool!! I love those giveaways. I haven't won any on Goodreads yet, but won a copy of a Laurie R. King novel a year or two ago. Made my day!
Congrats Julie. I think the fact that we review everything we read makes us a good pick (if I do say so myself).
Do you think that they actually go through and vet the people that enter the contests? They do say that if you write a review of a giveaway that you'd be more likely to get another one...
I just got my book in the mail today (FYI).
I had to go look for this, but I thought I had read something about their weird alogrithm...
If more people are interested in a book than there are copies available, we will pick the winners at our discretion. The factors that go into our algorithm are: randomness, site activity, genre of books on your shelves, current phase of the moon, and more.
DocJen--I think you got your book fairly quickly. That's nice to know!
Back to entering...!
I got mine today - really fast!
